For high-quality images, medium-format cameras were the professionals’ choice for years. And many preferred the framing of the 6x7cm format above all. 6x7 for iPhone takes you back to that time, with beautiful, high-resolution images that aren’t quite square – but aren’t too stretched out, either.
Give your iPhone a taste of classic medium-format photography. Sick of square? Weary with widescreen? Let 6x7 give your photographic world a new shape.

Pros and cons of 6x7 app for iPhone and iPad
6x7 app good for
The 6x6 app has developed wonderfully for those of us who love the square format.
But for really old farts like me, who lament the loss of 6x7, this app is great! Identical features, minimal but perfect, as 6x6.
Format and view have a tremendous impact on our compositions; it is not good enough to shoot and later crop. You need the view!
6x7 is a challenging and suggestive format. Get it!
I bought this solely because I love the sister-app, 6x6. I love the uncommon aspect ratio and the fantastic quality of the dynamic black & white.
Plus the app seems to have a very active developer. Several performance improvements rolled out quickly with 6x6 and hes often present in blog discussions about his apps.
Simple, powerful, interesting and highly recommended.
I was holding out on this one for a bit but Im glad I got it! Perfect!
User interface is really nice and effective. Quality of photos is awsome! A must to have!

I feel that I should update my review. Ive been using this gem of a camera app extensively, and the results continue to impress. The tonal quality and richness to the photos taken with 6x7 are in a different class. Yes, they stand up quite beautifully to filters you might want to apply in post because the photos look great *already*, but you really dont need to. I find that what comes straight out of 6x7 is beautiful as it is.
Additionally, the app produces TIFF images, which is gratifying to see.
I have a similar opinion of the devs 6x6 app, but I just prefer the 6x7 format for what I like to shoot. But take your pick, really.
Anyway, this camera app has a bright future on my Home Screen.

I love the images this app produces. They have a special, warm and rich quality. I hope the developer continues to keep this app (as well as his 6x6 app) current with iPhone hardware and OS updates.
Some bad moments
I use 6x6 and now I can have a little of my mamiya RB on my iPhone:) keep up the great work dev!!:)
This is my new favorite photo app. The quality, versatility and speed of this app are unsurpassed. Feature rich yet easy to use, your results right out of the box will blow you away. I highly recommend this app to all friends and family and at $.99 its a steal.
Nice app. I bought this for the ability to take squared photos. I know how to crop but there is something about square prints. Anyways. This is a simple no frills cam app. No long list of filters. Just a very good color and b/w mode. Shots are processed fast! Its a good cam app that has come to replace apples and hipstamatic apps. More people should buy this.
My new fave is so simple and easy to use plus it has remote shutter release!!
The exposure/focus controls are cumbersome. And is there really no way to quickly see the photo I just took?
You can tell that a lot of thought and love went into this app and 6x7. Both are "must have" ! Photographers will love it.
